Nothing says Summer like an ice-cold, refreshing pitcher of homemade lemonade. As a kid growing up in Kentucky we often had homemade lemonade in our own fridge or enjoyed it when visiting family members. I had a great auntie who was practically famous for her homemade lemonade that she made every year for our family reunion.
Making this lemonade recipe is so easy and it’s a wonderful thing to enjoy at a picnic, barbecue or garden party. Because it’s non-alcoholic, it’s perfect for all ages to enjoy!
Lemonade is all about preference, so feel free to experiment with quantities here. Some lemons will be more tart or sweet than others and some people will like their lemonade super sour while others will prefer sugary sweet. If you need to adjust the sweetener, please do. This recipe is just a guideline to get you started.
